Low pressure to the south will become even more dominant during week 3, leading to generally more unsettled conditions. Week 3 (Monday 26 June to Sunday 02 July) While rainfall over the northern half of the country will be normal or slightly below normal, further to the south conditions will turn slightly wetter than average. However, with the greater influence of low pressure, rain and showers will become more likely. We will remain in a dominantly easterly airflow which will maintain those warmer than average conditions nationwide, with warmest conditions likely in the west. Week 2 (Monday 19 June to Sunday 25 June)ĭuring week 2, low pressure to our south will begin to have more of an influence over our weather. These showers may bring higher than normal rainfall totals to some isolated parts of the country. However, there is potential for some localised heavy or thundery showers through the week. It will also be drier than average for most of the country. As a result, temperatures will be well above average for the week, with daytime temperatures widely in the twenties and night time temperatures often not falling below the mid-teens.
